That is the beginning of the Beatles song the race was named after. If you were with us last year, then you know why. If you weren’t, then you will find it out. Because while riding in Rabac you will get the same feeling you get while listening to the surely roughest song of the Liverpool four.
Just rougher. Much rougher.
Difficult climbs and steep descents. Up and down. Helter Skelter is fast, dangerous, loud. Cruel. No stops, no rests. At one point, it will seem like too much, so other Beatles songs such as “Help!” Or “I’m so tired”, maybe even “Misery” will come to mind. But you soon realise that it’s not so scary. That this naturally rough terrain actually suits you. You needed this. And it’s not that difficult.
As you sprint trough one of the countless singles that Rabac offers, the stones under your wheel play a familiar tune. It’s not Helter Skelter, but it is Rock’n’Roll.
