HUSQVARNA ADRIA BIKE SERIES 2019

In 2019 we proudly present the Husqvarna Adria Bike Series in a completely new format. It’s time for change.

This is a third year in a row for Husqvarna Adria Bike Series. Previous were the years of wonderful experiences, challenges and joy, but also of tears, sports drama and temptation.

The first two editions of Series consisted of three races in three different locations in which we completely immersed over the years. We believe that you feel that way in our races, too – as if you were right where you belong.

We feel especially connected with Adria Bike Marathon Plitvice – race that started the whole Adria Bike story. Without it, there would probably be no Series at all.

But in the heart of mountain biking there is always a quest for something new – new challenges, new trails, new hills and new destinations… And new races.

Thist is why we are leaving Plitvice race for some time. It was beautiful, it was generous, thank you Plitvice, but Series has to move on!

With four races in 2019!

Yeah, you’ve read it well. For the Husqvarna Adria Bike Series 2019 we announce a new format of four races. This means we have two new races! And we’re incredibly excited about it. In fact, we are so excited we can hardly wait, so we decided to put both new races at the very beginning of the Series 2019.

Helter Skelter

This year the Series will not start in Plitvice, nor will it begin in June, but much earlier. In April. On the coast of eastern coast of Istrian peninsula. In Rabac – the bicycle-tourism capital of this corner of the world. The race is called Helter Skelter. Check out why.

Dalmatiner

And then we go south, to Dalmatia the gorgeous. To Vodice. In July. Hellish thing to do. It will be a marathon challenge for all your senses. MTB Armageddon, the Apocalypse now and the Big Wednesday. All in one and all at once.

Fužine 2 Sea and Krk ‘n’ Roll

The second half of Husqvarna Adria Bike Series will bring us back to the well-known races – Fužine 2 Sea & Krk ’n’ Roll. It would be like we all came back from class excursion back to the school desks. It is an atmosphere we are also looking forward to. Especially on island Krk, when we’ll once again synergize with our fellow trail-runners at the Baška Outdoor Festival and where we will once again announce the total winners of the Husqvarna Adria Bike Series.

Registrations for the race:

On the day before the race from 18:00 untill 22:00 for all categories and routes

On the day of the race from 07:00 untill 08:30 for all categories and routes

The scoring system for the Husqvarna Adria Bike Series 2019 has been designed to get more competitors a chance to score points, no matter which track the competitor has chosen and in which category they compete.

Each track on each race has a predetermined number of maximum points that can be won.

The total winner on each of the tracks gets the total maximum number of points for the track on which they competed.

The total winner time per track is converted into seconds and the total sum of the winner is 100%. The times of all other participants are also converted into seconds and are put in proportion to the time of the winner.

The number of points each contestant receives is equal to the percentage each competitor has time lagging for the winner, ie the contestant will get so fewer points less than the winner.

As a base for 100% points, only winner time is calculated on a particular course regardless of the category.

Points are added automatically after each race. Competitors whose time is over 100% worse than the winner will not get negative points.

Scoring is done by summing up the 3 best results for the overall result, ie 3 races where the most points are scored. So if you miss one of the 4 races or you perform weaker at one of them, you still have the chance to win a high ranking for 3 races and win the prestigious Husqvarna Adria Bike Series 2019 winner.

The overall winner of the Series is a competitor who collects the most points in 3 races throughout the entire Series.

The total winners are nominated in the categories MEN, MASTER, GRAND MASTER & WOMEN.

EPIC – 12.000 points

CLASSIC – 10.000 points

EASY – 8.000 points

Dalmatiner 2019. MTB Marathon

EPIC – 12.000 points

CLASSIC – 10.000 points
