Rab Island
Imagine a column of cars with bicycles on the roofs, in the trunks and on the trailers, filling the ferries to the Rab Island. Some familiar but also unknown faces, conversations about the long dark winter, showing new gadgets and bikes, and one positive nervousness and excitement because we have the opportunity to hang out again at Husqvarna Adria Bike races. Take your family with you, bring beach and swimming equipment, because one such weekend in June has been waiting for you for a long time. And you have waited for him too.
Rab is already well known as a small pearl for mountain biking. It owes its popularity among cyclists primarily to the exceptional diversity in a very small area, relatively easy accessibility, mild Mediterranean climate and most of all, attractive single-trails network that stretches all over the island.
On the one hand, an island of diversity demands from cyclists adaptability and a smart bicycle set-up, and on the other hand offers incredible panoramic sceneries and views of Velebit mountain, neighboring islands & islets and the crystal blue sea, as far as the eye can see.
The race will start from the historic center of Rab city, take cyclists to almost all available parts of the island, alternating hard stone surface and sandy parts, stone crags without vegetation and deep Mediterranean coniferous forests, fun singles and fast “gravel” sections.
Hardtail, Fully or Gravel? Oh, yes, you can. At the finish line we’ll see who chose wisely, and whose theory doesn’t hold water.
There’s another very important thing regarding the Island Hero race. Namely, we have left the designing, tracing and marking of the trails to those who know the best what the island has to offer, so we joined our forces with BK Mag, local club from the Rab Island, who brings you the Rab Island in its best edition.
What you will not find on Strava and similar services, what you will not find in any tourist brochure, you will get in this race.

Having in mind the coronavirus pandemic, Adria Bike has implemented the high epidemiological standards that can be found in the COVID-19 protocol, which will be adapted to the current epidemiological situation on the day of the race.
