HELTER SKELTER 2019 – MTB MARATHON

The privilege of opening the Husqvarna Adria Bike Series 2019 goes to a brand new race in our catalog – HELTER SKELTER MTB MARATHON.

So far, the opening race of Husqvarna Adria Bike Series used to be Adria Bike Marathon Plitvice in Korenica, where you – our dear racers – would stage us a true MTB weekend festival. But after a six years, we recognised your need to change that tradition. So here we are now with a new race ahead – the Helter Skelter 2019 MTB Marathon.

By extending the Series format to four races in 2019, we were given a possibility to also extend the Series season. So, while it’s still quite snowy in mountain regions of continental Croatia during the April, the weather in Istria is already perfect for mountain biking. So let’s start the Series two months earlier in 2019, in April, in Istria.

In Rabac.

At the foot of the hilltown Labin, situated along the wide bay of Kvarner coast, lies a small town of Rabac. This is a part of Istrian peninsula that is not dominated by dense, green forests and mostly dirt covered surfaces. Here we find a much narrower and rockier landscape, more common for the islands.

At its eastern coast, Istria dives into the Adriatic Sea steeply. The trails are rising up and down in the dazzling dynamics, turning you and shaking until you completely lose your sense of orientation. And after all these possible and impossible turbulence, at the end of the parade, its final stage takes you through the bike-skill park itself – its buckles, bends and drops.

No race has that – constant adrenaline rush from start to finish.

And it’s only the beginning of a season!

We found the name for the race in The Beatles song, their most loud and wildest song, as they themselves described it. If in any case you are not familiar with the sound of Helter Skelter, award yourself with a few minutes and listen to it, because the very energy that drives throughout the song, from the beginning to the end, is what awaits you in the race.

There are three tracks – Epic, Classic and Easy. Choose which one to ride while riding. The number of participants is limited, so book your spot now.
